The Angler's Boutique Resort:

-- Anne Heche, AJ Feeley, Jeremy Shockey and First Lady of The Bahamas Toast Birthday Boys Michael Capponi and Renowned Interior Designer J. Wallace Tutt at Launch of Miami Beach's Much-Anticipated Boutique Resort

Legendary nightlife impresario Michael Capponi and acclaimed Versace mansion interior designer, J. Wallace Tutt III, rung in their birthdays with a Bahamian bang Friday, April 8th, when more than 4,000 of New York and South Florida's most illustrious socialites, models, developers, top brokers and celebrities celebrated the launch of The Angler's Boutique Resort, a highly exclusive new hotel condominium project by Capponi and third-generation Miami developer Gregg Covin.

In a nod to Tutt's fashionable Rock House, located in Harbour Island, guests enjoyed a Bahamian adventure with a junkanoo band, island drinks by Grey Goose Vodka and delicacies provided by Perricone's. The night was marked with a visit from First Lady of The Bahamas Bernadette Christie and Miami Beach Mayor David Dermer, who was also on hand to salute the developers for their contributions to the Design Preservation League and the Log Cabin Nursery.

Guests such as Anne Heche, Dolphins starting quarterback AJ Feeley, New York Giants' Jeremy Shockey and Ocean Drive Magazine publisher Jerry Powers were also in attendance for a first glimpse at design plans for the revitalization of one of South Beach's original Mediterranean revival hotels, which promises to once again impress A-list guests and residents the way it did in the 1930s.

Capponi, one of the most respected and well-known nightlife entrepreneurs in the industry, first coupled his experience with the social elite and his interest in real estate with the Clinique La Prairie Residences at Ten Museum Park, a mixed-use real estate development currently under construction on Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami. The success of that project led to Capponi's second venture with Gregg Covin - to recreate the glory days of The Angler's Hotel.

No stranger to the spotlight, Tutt was responsible for making Gianni Versace's mansion a South Beach icon. Celebrities such as Cher, Jack Nicholson, Barry Diller and Elle MacPherson are also Tutt fans and clients. After the murder of longtime friend Versace, Tutt moved to Harbour Island in the Bahamas. It was there he transformed an antique home into the ultra-exclusive Rock House hotel. The opportunity to attach his signature style to another historic property was enough to bring Wallace Tutt out of retirement and back into the design spotlight.

Built in 1930, The Angler's Hotel is currently uninhabited, though surrounding buildings have become world-famous hotspots. Once completed, The Angler's Boutique Resort will dazzle guests and residents with 49 fully furnished resort residences, a luxuriously landscaped swimming pool and a seductive garden lounge. In keeping with the building's tropical history, Tutt will open the Miami Beach outpost of the sought-after Rock House Bar & Restaurant, a magnet for celebrities in the Bahamas.
