Company Philosophy

After launching his luxury construction company, Michael Capponi needed the best person in the business to furnish the interiors. At the end of an exhaustive search he met Johanni Noesi, whose custom furniture expertise is renowned in Miami’s highly selective interior design circles. They originally met when Michael asked her to create custom pieces for several South Beach nightclubs, including Mansion and Privé.  Over the years their collaborations grew, until they decided to become partners.

Their new company, Capponi Casa, produces exquisite, hand-crafted furniture from two 4,000 square-foot production facilities in Miami. A new 3,000-square-foot showroom on NE 79th Street displays the exclusive line of sectional sofas, chairs, and full bedroom and dining room sets. The company prides itself on meticulous craftsmanship, constructing the furniture using 200-year-old techniques. All frames are hand-built using hardwoods for durability and spiral spring systems for comfort. Clients can choose from a variety of fabrics that Noesi herself selected after traveling throughout Europe, including Belgian linens, silk velvets, and deerskin leather, the supplest leather available. Media cabinetry, bookshelves and dining and bedroom sets are sensuously crafted from a number of exotic woods, such as ebony, wenge, and mahogany. The company also has a full-service drapery department to custom fit any window system in a stunning array of sheer linens, silks, paisleys, and taffetas.

For the company’s custom commercial work, Noesi has researched and selected the most sophisticated and durable textiles available. This line of fabrics – including a variety of microsuedes – offers durability without compromising taste. Because all aspects of Capponi Casa furniture are handled in-house, from the framing to the upholstery, production is very efficient. Turnaround is measured in weeks, not months.

“In order for me to be satisfied, I need to see my customer excited when I deliver a piece,” Noesi says. In that pursuit of perfection, Noesi and Capponi’s partnership is a meeting of the minds. “Michael and I share the same vision,” Noesi says. “We understand quality.”
